The 505: Hospitality

Project Objective: Perform client interviews, site analysis, research and other programming aspects of a building located in Lansing, MI to help identify the best use of the space. Following this, complete an in-depth code analysis including occupancy loads, means of egress, and ADA guidelines. Concluded by developing the preliminarily space planning, schematics, and proposed finish selections to present to the clients.

Concept: The 505 will bring the community together through a lively restaurant and lounge experience. The renovation will transform the interior into a space that appeals to the urbanization of the Lansing Stadium District through intentional design decisions that will create a space inclusive to all.

To encompass a user-centered approach, the interior layout will focus on the flexibility of the users throughout the space. With an emphasis on sustainable practices, we will utilize materials that have a minimal impact on the environment. We will increase visibility to provide the users with a more inviting atmosphere that is easily accessible. Through forward thinking design we will transform the traditional restaurant experience into a functional yet innovative environment.
