The Mountain Peak: Residential
Project Objective: Create a space to function as a vacation rental unit for two guests. This structure will depict an interior and exterior to accommodate an extended stay, incorporating high end finish materials and amenities. The interior will feature an open concept plan and include an open loft.
Concept: Located within the forest and on the mountainside of Colorado, The Mountain Peak will serve as a modern luxury vacation home with a rustic twist. Vacationers will be welcomed into the space through an open concept plan with large windows that will provide panoramic access to the picturesque views. As the users make their way into the home, they will be comforted by a large two-story stone fireplace focalized in the living room. An earthy toned color scheme of browns, blues, greens, and a hint of burnt orange to compliment will be used to create an overall sense of tranquility and leisure. Sustainable wood, concrete, and stone materials will be utilized to enrich the interior’s connection with nature. The vacation home will allow for entertainment through the considerable range of seating in the kitchen, living, dining, and loft area. A modern style will be achieved through the use of clean-cut lines and bright, open elements. A variety of soft, warm textures will be incorporated to provide an overall sense of comfort, leaving the guests feeling relaxed and amiable. An outdoor hot tub and a stone soaking tub featured in the bathroom will allow for the ultimate relaxation to wrap up a day in the mountainside of Colorado.
