Growspace: Higher Education

Project Objective: Redesign a higher education classroom to create a better environment for all users with consideration of ergonomics and anthropometrics.

Concept: Growspace will be a collaborative and stress free space for MSU interior design students to utilize while growing in their knowledge and creativity. Inspired by the aspects of a productive learning environment, the space will incorporate variety, promote engagement, and allow the occupants to feel relaxed all while servicing the needs of both the student and the instructor to enhance the user’s educational experience.

Researched Topics: The hidden dimension, proxemics, ergonomics, anthropometrics, social spaces, promoting collaboration through classroom design, and the biophilia effect.
